Tanjung Puting Nasional Park

The park, which covers territory the size of Bali, is home to an amazing array of wildlife including it’s world famous orang utans. Tanjung Puting is located in Central Kalimantan. The area was originally declared as a game reserve in 1935 and became a national park in 1982. The park sits on a peninsula that juts out into the Java sea. The sheer size of the park means that it has diverse habitat zones. This diversity means the park is home to a great variety of inhabitants, both flora and fauna.

Sawinggrai village

sawinggrai_1.jpgSawinggrai village is located in Meos Mansar district, Raja Ampat, West Papua province.  This village has 36 family heads and it is famous for its fauna and nature tourism. You can see this province’s icon of Cenderawasih (bird of paradise) and feed fish.

There are four species of Cenderawasih cultivated in this village, namely Red Bird of Paradise, Wilson’s Bird of Paradise, Lesser Bird of Paradise, and Greater Bird of Paradise. From these species, Red Bird of Paradise is the icon for Sawinggrai village.

History of Port Tanjung Perak

Dance Tor Tor – Ritual Dances Associated With The Spirit

This dance has a motion rhythm with the music (Margondang) who played with traditional musical instruments such as gondang, flute, batak trumpet, and others. According to history, dance tor-tor used in rituals associated with spirits. Spirit is called and “go” to the stone statues are a symbol of the ancestors, and the statue will move like a dance.

Tangkoko National Park

tanhkoko.jpgThe Tangkoko National Park is a flora and fauna conservation area on Mount Tangkoko, Bitung in the province of North Sulawesi. To visit this park, you will pass Batuputih Natural Park located between Batuputih Bawah subdistrict and the Tangkoko National Park itself at Batuangus.

The Batuputih Natural Park covers an area of  615 hectares and is a savanna suitable for camping, outbound activities and relaxation by the beach.  Since the Batuputih park is most visited by tourists, it is therefore also the best known, although it is only one of four conservation areas at Tangkoko.
