Travel itinerary of Seriously Sparkling Surabaya Tour in 3 Days 2 Nights

Day 01. Arrival in Surabaya – Surabaya Landmark Tour – Transfer in (D)

Arrival in Surabaya, meet & greet then transfer to hotel for check-in. If you arrive in the morning or midday, then we will take you on a tour to several landmarks of the city of Surabaya. Our first visit for today is Surabaya’s Al Akbar Mosque or also known as the Surabaya Great Mosque.

Masjid Al Akbar Surabaya

Al-Akbar Mosque is a national mosque located in Surabaya, East Java. It is the second-largest mosque in Indonesia after the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta in terms of maximum capacity. Its most distinctive feature is its large vertical dome, accompanied by four small blue domes. It also has a minaret with a height of 99 meters, an ode to the 99 Names of Allah. In terms of area, the building and supporting facilities combined are 22,300 square meters wide. The building has a length of 147 meters and a width of 128 meters.

Furthermore, we will also invite you to cross the bridge that connects Java and Madura Island, the Suramadu Bridge. The bridge connecting the city of Surabaya and Madura Island has become an icon of the pride of the people of Surabaya. The third longest bridge in Southeast Asia is able to shorten the travel time of Surabaya – Madura which was originally about 30 minutes by ferry, can now be reached in just 10 minutes by driving.

Suramadu Bridge Surabaya

Do not forget, on this tour, our focus is also on culinary tourism. So tonight we will invite you to enjoy a special menu of Sinjay Duck Rice with a spicy and firm young mango sambal. But if you have a high cholesterol disorder, we will take you to eat the Rawon Rice “Calculator” in the relaxing atmosphere of Taman Bungkul. After a full stomach, it’s time to rest in a comfortable hotel.

Day 02. Surabaya Full Day City Tour (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the hotel, we start with a visit to an exciting Arabian quarter of Kampung Ampel with its typical atmospheres like in Mecca or Morocco. This Ampel village is not only unique in terms of atmosphere but is a place of pilgrimage for the Muslim community of the archipelago because in it there is a grave of previous scholars who spread Islam first time in Java. Of course the most famous is Sunan Ampel, one of the elders of Walisongo.

Balai Kota Surabaya

From here we will go to Surabaya City Hall to take pictures. We need to know that Surabaya City Hall (Balai Kota Surabaya) is the administrative center of the city of Surabaya. The building was built by Cosman Citroen in the 1920s. The building is one of the examples of 20th-century buildings designed in a tropical-conscious climate of Indonesia, the style is known as the New Indies Style.

Among characteristics of New Indies Style apparent in the Surabaya City Hall are the two-layered roofs that allow light and ventilation to flow into the interior through the space between the roofs. The building is surrounded by galleries, a feature which protects the interior of the building from the direct sun and water from the frequent tropical rainfalls typical of the tropics

After half a day of activities, of course, you will feel hungry. Therefore, today we will taste the special Surabaya Fried Rice, namely Jancuk Fried Rice (Fuck! Fried Rice). Compared to fried rice in general, Jancuk Fried Rice has different characteristics and uniqueness. Jancuk Fried Rice deliberately served with a spicy taste. Jancuk Fried Rice has two spicy levels. For the “normal” spicy level, this fried rice uses one ounce of chili per portion. This fried rice is complemented by a topping of an omelet, shrimp, shredded chicken, fried onions with additional shrimp crackers and pickles.

Nasi Goreng Jancuk Surabaya

After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue our today’s activities by visiting the Sampoerna Cigarette Museum. The House of Sampoerna is a tobacco museum and headquarters of the Sampoerna corporation located in Surabaya. The main building’s architectural style influenced by the Dutch colonial-style compound was built in 1862 and is now a preserved historical site.

The tour then followed by the stop at The Cheng-Hoo Chinese Mosque. Cheng Ho Mosque, also known by the name of Muhammad Cheng Ho Mosque, is a mosque in which the building designs resemble a temple (house of worship of Tri Dharma). The mosque is mostly colored with red, green, and yellow. The ornaments are rich with antique Chinese influence. The entrance resembles the shape of the pagoda, there are also reliefs of dragons and lions made of wax with Allah written in Arabic letters at the top of the pagoda.

In the late afternoon, we will take you to try to embark on an ex-Russian Submarine. KRI Pasopati 410, is the SS Whiskey Class, made in Vladivostok, Russia in 1952. This submarine participated in the Indonesian Navy since January 29, 1962, its main task was to destroy enemy lines (anti-shipping), supervise and carry out raids quietly. KRI Pasopati 410 has taken a large role in defending the maritime law, such as Operation Trikora, where KRI Pasopati 410 goes behind enemy lines, giving psychological oppression to the enemy.

It’s incomplete for tonight if we don’t stop by to experience the culinary delights of Pecel Rice from Surabaya. Therefore we will prop up our hungry by tasting the delicious Bu Kus Pecel Rice. However, if you are still not too hungry, then we can stop by first at the Mirota Handicraft Center to look at traditional Javanese souvenirs. Then afterward, we will enjoy food in a more authentic place, which is “lesehan” eating while enjoying the phenomenal Pucang Moro Seneng Pecel Rice. After dinner return back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 03. Surabaya Hotel – Transfer out – Departure (B)

After breakfast, Free time until check-out time and transfer out to the airport. If time allows, we can stop by Depot Bu Rudy to buy Sambal Bawang, crispy shrimp, or crunchy wader fish. END OF SERVICES

We are very satisfied with our trip to Flores and Komodo which is well managed. Below we share our experience…-Wrap up Flores and Komodo trip-Started from Ende, we met our guide and driver provided by Lintang Buana tourism service, we straight to Moni village by 2 hours drive and stayed at Kelimutu Ecolodge. Sunrise hunting was started at 4am, first hiking in shahur time a little hard for kids. Fortunately p*pm*e is available on the top, hot noodles perfect for chilly time meanwhile mommy happy with the coffee .After breakfast at the lodge, the trip was continued to Bajawa town passing by to Ende to visit Soekarno house where our first president spent his years of exile in Ende. Unfortunately it was close on Sunday so we just saw it from outside. We had lunch at Penggajawa beach or famous as blue stone beach. We arrived at Bajawa after 2.5h driving and stayed at Happy-Happy .The day after we were visiting Bena village as one of traditional village in Flores. Flores has different tribes over the land, each tribe has their own believe and culture. Bena people believe that their ancestral spirit will always live with them and stay on megalith stones as provided in the village. In the afternoon we started to drive again about 3h to Ruteng before Labuan Bajo. Stayed overnight in Ruteng monastery to enjoy the landscape and spider rice fields of Cancar in the morning.Ruteng to Labuan bajo was about 3-4 hours drive with magnificent landscapes. We saw the hill of Wae Rebo but not part of our trip. Next time maybe when our feet stronger and hopefully by that time the trip to go there also shorter and better than now …too many wishes from lazy persons such us Finally arrived at Labuan bajo, we straight to our boat as our home for 3 days and had lunch while it sailed to first stop Rinca island to meet the dragons. Having met them, we enjoyed sunset near to Kalong (big bat) island to see hundreds of bat flew out to the other islands for dinner. The boat then moored near to Papagarang island which the wave quite and allow us to sleep tight. In the morning we were snorkeling to Pink beach near Komodo island then continue to Padar island to hike in the afternoon. Quite hot along the day so we choose to leve-leve on the boat before enjoying sunset from Padar hill.Last day on boat started by watching Malta playing with the wave. How lucky we were to see lots of them clearly just from the boat. The day closed by snorkeling at Kanawa, lots of fish and starfish .We had overnight at Puri Sari beach hotel waiting our flight back. Thanks to Agung Yoga Asmoro who arrange this trip for us and understand what we need

Lintang Buana took me from Surabaya to Mt Bromo, Ijen and Sukamade in August this year. I'm travelling around Asia for a year. Normally, I don't use tour companies but I was finding it a little difficult to organise what I wanted to do independently in the time I had.Organisation was great. All pieces of the trip fitted together perfectly.A couple of points which could be improved: 1) we set off mid-morning on a Friday but then stopped for an hour for Friday prayers whilst still in Surabaya! No problem with stopping for prayers, but I think it would have been better to set off afterwards, as there was little to do once we reached our destination for the first night. 2) the hotel in Banyuwangi was somewhere to get some sleep for a few hours between 5pm and setting off for Ijen at 11.30pm. Unfortunately, there was a karaoke lounge facing my room, so I didn't manage to get any sleep 🙁Huge thank to the guys for returning a tee shirt that I left in one of the hotels. It was my favourite tee shirt! They collected it from the hotel and kept it safe until I was back in Indonesia. They then couriered it to my hotel in Jakarta. So impressed and happy! Thanks a million!

We contacted lintang buana tours to arrange an unforgettable itinerary from Indonesia. I was immediately told Yoga that offered me a spectacular ride. He greeted us personally upon our arrival in Yogyacarta and we found out that he was our guide. Both Yoga and his partner (a driver whose name I don't remember) were exceptional in leading the way: always careful to respond to our requests, the can always waiting for our tours and always available to do small program changes at our request. They made our trip unforgettable: they made us feel comfortable. I recommend to all this agency for the seriousness and the passion that the members use to make the trip unforgettable. Thanks for everything Yoga

I had a nice experience with Lintang Buana Tours. My friends and I did a full package arranged trip starting from the airport at Jakarta and end at Bali airport. Accommodation, transportation, and touring including entrance fees to the selected places. Lintang chooses a perfect guides and drivers with cars in all areas. We got a great idea about Indonesian history and others. Guides helped us in photography as well. The only point I should mention is the hotels in some places were below expectations. The office were in touch with us in almost everywhere. A beautiful Indonesia trip starting from Jakarta- Puncak- Bogor – Banbung – Ubud – Lovina and ended in Kuta. Thank you Lintang Buana Tours. Definitely I'll recommend your office to others.

I got to know about Lintang Buana from a friend who had toured Bromo and Ijen with their help. After a lot of emails back and forth, we decided on a 7 day East- Central Java tour and it was absolutely wonderful! They were extremely prompt in replying to emails and text messages and helped me even with the most trivial doubts that I had. They accommodated every single constraint of mine and suggested places to stay, eat etc. that would suit my budget. In the end, we did end up staying in extremely comfortable hotels and dorms.Special thanks to Ms. Nukeu and Mr. Singgih from the Bandung office who helped me with a really fun itinerary! We had absolutely wonderful guides on the three legs of our tour. They were pretty impressive and incredibly proactive. The drivers were also very nice and made sure we stuck to the time in our itinerary. We were a bunch of vegetarians traveling to Indonesia and I had mentioned this a couple of times during my correspondence with Lintang Buana. They ensured the availability of vegetarian food in all the places we went to, in the Pekalen river rafting and the Prambanan Ramayana Ballet. Seriously, the food at the Ramayana ballet was the best that we ate in Indonesia! They helped us at every step during the planning of our trip and once we reached Surabaya, we had absolutely no work to do. Everything instruction in our itinerary and the emails were followed and their planning was flawless! I would definitely reccomend Lintang Buana to people who want to see Indonesia for the absolutely beautiful place that it is and to help them plan their trips.

I had taken already 2 trips with Lintang Buana. One was with my family around North Sumatra and the other with my friends in East Java. Both times, the email communication was very smooth, clear and efficient. The money transfer was a breeze. Everything on both journeys was thoughtfully managed. My mum is vegan and even this was catered for. Every request we had, no matter how silly or trivial, was taken seriously and dealt with appropriately. The guides and drivers are outstanding. They basically become a part of your travel group and it feels like you have just found a new friend along. This tour operator really goes the extra mile with the most professional service I've encountered. Their sense of service excellence and customer satisfaction are at the core. I would choose this tour operator again and again, especially as the price usually ends up even cheaper than arranging the tour yourself. Well done!

Our Bandung holiday with Lintang Buana was one of our most memorable Indonesian getaways. We had a very experienced driver who took us around busy streets patiently and expertly. Communications with Mr. Agung were made easy with prompt replies and he was most accommodating. Thank you, Lintang Buana for an excellent service provided.

We booked a 10 days overland Jakarta to Bali tour in April 2015. We were very happy with the excellent organisation, care and service and outstanding commitment and attention shown throughout the tour and had such a fabulous time. Both the drivers and the guides ensured us a safe environment and accommodated to our individual needs. The regular communication from the head office making sure that we remained happy with all aspects of the tour throughout was very reassuring and enhanced the level of customer satisfaction and care. All the accommodations were strategically located and were of good standard, the hotel staff were equally courteous and friendly throughout. We would highly recommend this company for anyone seeking a stress free adventure holiday tailored to accommodate your individual needs in Indonesia,
