Day 1 – Arrival Denpasar – Ubud
Arrive this afternoon at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar where you will be greeted by our representative from guide and driver. A private transfer (approximately 1hr15min) takes you to the town of Ubud. Located in the island’s center, Ubud is the island’s artistic and cultural capital. After checking in to your hotel, a relaxing 1.5 hour Balinese massage in a local spa will help soothe tired, jet-lagged muscles. Dinner is at leisure and overnight in Ubud

Day 2 – Ubud – Bedugul – Jatiluwih – Ubud (B,L)
This morning after breakfast you will be picked up for day filled with beautiful panoramas, temples & nature. Your first stop will be at the Royal Temple of Mengwi which was built in 1634 to serve as the family temple of the Mengwi dynasty. The temple is a truly stunning piece of historic architecture, surrounded by a moat with multi–roofted meru shrines and intricately carved wooden gates. Continue to Bedugul, an area of the central highlands that is famous for its stunning beauty and three lakes. You’ll visit the area’s traditional market of Bedugul where a myriad of fruits, vegetables and orchids are for sale from the area’s gardens. There are also stalls selling exotic spices and souvenirs. Ascend north, further into the hills, to reach Lake Bratan and visit Ulun Danu Temple. Set on an island amid the peaceful water of the Lake Bratan, this temple is one of Bali’s most iconic and photogenic sites. Return to the south via the UNESCO heritage listed rice fields of Jatiluwih where you will take a leisurely 1 hour trek through the terracing rice fields learning about the subak style of rice production in Bali. Return to your hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Ubud.

Day 3 – Ubud – Coffee Plantation – Mt Batur – Kehen Temple – Ubud (B,L)
Your driver and tour guide will pick you up today for a fascinating tour to, amongst other places, a working coffee plantation in Seribatu Village. This plantation doesn’t only have coffee but other fruits and species such as cocoa, clove, vanilla, cinnamon, passion fruit and many others… After a short walk through the plantation you will be shown the fruits, the processing and of course the roasting process. Here they still roast the beans in a traditional wok over a wood fire like they have been doing for many generations. Afterwards you are all going to get a taste of freshly made coffee from the freshest roasted beans imaginable. Also give the most famous of all a try, coffee Luwak. This mix of Robusta and Arabica coffee beans has been eaten and passed through the digestive track of the Indonesian Civet cat which gives it its distinct flavour, highly regarded by coffee lovers all over the world. When your curiosity is satisfied the trip continues further to the north to Kintamani. Upon arrival at Kintamani, stop for lunch at a local restaurant where you will enjoy spectacular views over Lake Batur and its volcano, Mt Batur. Although Mt Batur (1412m) is not the highest volcano in Bali, it is the most active and is surrounded by an impressive caldera. Your excursion continues to Penglipuran, a traditional countryside village well known for its tidy row of traditional Balinese entrance gates and its unique architectural traditions. End today with a visit to the sacred Kehen Temple, built majestically on a hill on a series of 8 terraces enclosing a huge banyan tree in its first courtyard. The forest background of this temple offers a unique ambiance and mesmerizing scene.
Return to Ubud early this evening. Dinner is at leisure and overnight in Ubud.

Day 4 – Ubud – Cooking Class – Tanjung Benoa (B,L)
This morning after breakfast and check out from your hotel you will be picked up (with your luggage) for a true, Balinese hands on cooking class. You get to sample the spices, visit the market and learn methods and recipes handed down over generations. At first the chef will take you on a short walk to the market where you will learn about fresh spices, herbs and vegetables available. Later you will see –and do yourself – how all these ingredients are used and you will help prepare the meal. When finished you can sit back and relax while enjoying the freshly prepared food, with a glass or two of the local rice wine. Transfer to your hotel in Tanjung Benoa. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Tanjung Benoa.

Day 5 – 6: Tanjung Benoa – Beach Break (B)
Spend the next part of your holiday at your own leisure, while enjoying the beautiful beach of Tanjung Benoa, join some water sport activities or go for long walks on the beach walk.
Day 7 – Departure (B)
This morning is free at leisure until transferring to Denpasar International Airport for your departure flight.
